The EBRHA Legal Fund with be used to shield rental housing providers from government misuse of power and unethical activities as well as fight to restore unpaid back rent that was lost due to the eviction moratoriums. Your support will help us achieve these vital goals and protect the interests of small housing providers. EBRHA will never share any personal information. |
About the Event:
In the rental housing industry across Contra Costa and Alameda Counties, where unjust legislation, illegal fees, and public safety concerns pose constant threats, EBRHA's mission is unequivocal: Every. Fight. Matters.
These challenges aren't just isolated issues for rental housing; they impact the entire Bay Area, from Richmond to Fremont, Oakland to Concord. EBRHA will not stand by passively. We are committed to decisive action, mobilizing a legal fund to push back against the rising tide of harmful legislation. Cities are enacting laws that negatively affect both renters and housing providers, with no fear of repercussions.
We are facing a relentless assault: TOPA legislation threatens us, aggressive "tenant protection laws" erode our rights, city fees soar, public safety deteriorates, and tenant activists, funded by our tax dollars, rally against us.
This event will feature good wine and food, but also discussions about how we can hold our legislators accountable for their decisions and think twice before voting on policies are imbalanced, illegal, or unjust.
