About the Event:
It’s not too late to make a difference this holiday season by donating to or volunteering at the second annual District 6 Thanksgiving Turkey Giveaway, hosted by Oakland Councilmember Kevin Jenkins. Join EBRHA, other event sponsors, community volunteers, and D6 staff at the Arroyo Viejo Recreation Center as we distribute over 400 turkeys and Thanksgiving meal items to families in need. Turkey/meal pickup begins at 12:15 pm.
Donations Needed: EBRHA will match each member’s donation up to a total of $2000! Be sure to place “EBRHA” in the “Address 2” field on the donation page to track the matching contribution.
Volunteers Needed: Volunteer shifts (10am – 1pm and 12pm – 3pm) are essential to make this event a success. Volunteers will help with setup, meal distribution, creating a welcoming atmosphere, and event wrap-up.
The event takes place on Saturday, November 23rd, and EBRHA’s CEO, Derek Barnes, along with other EBRHA Board Members will be attending.
